Nice Tours · Giza plateau
A QR code entry ticket for the Giza pyramids complex, sold by Nice Tours and valid for one day. Pick it if you want to arrive when you like, skip the ticket desk and explore without a guide.

The plainest way in. You book, receive a QR code, and scan it at the gate on your day. The ticket covers general admission to the Giza pyramids complex: the outside of the pyramids, the Sphinx area and the plateau's electric shuttle buses. There is no guide, no transport and no pickup. Getting to the plateau is up to you.
Ignore one line in the listing. It names entry inside the Great Pyramid among what is included, but the same listing's notes say the ticket is for general admission only and that interior tickets are bought separately at the site. Plan on the second version. If you want to go inside, buy the interior ticket on the day, by card: the ticket desks at the pyramids stopped taking cash in June 2023. Numbers inside Khufu are limited, so go early.
Since April 2025 the main entrance is the new visitor centre on the Cairo-Fayoum road. Private cars and tour buses stop there, and electric shuttle buses carry visitors around the plateau. The Sphinx gate on the east side still works as an entrance. Guests say the QR code worked at the gate and the shuttles were a help, and one adds a warning: phone reception is poor, so screenshot the ticket.
Save the ticket to your phone gallery before you leave the hotel. Reception on the plateau is poor.
Most visitors now enter at the new visitor centre on the Cairo-Fayoum road. The Sphinx gate on the east side is the other way in. Walk away from the gate before you book a ride home.
Scan the QR code at the gate. Keep your passport or ID handy.
The shuttle stops include the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx and the panorama point, where all the pyramids line up. The number of stops has changed since 2025.
Interiors close in rotation, and Menkaure closed in September 2026. Buy the ticket on site, by card.
Admission with the QR code worked perfectly
The free green bus was an excellent way to get around the complex.
Just one piece of advice: take a screen shot of your tickets as reception there is poor.
The pyramids are great, and the coaches for getting around are wonderful, with air conditioning.
