OceanAir Travel · Cairo or Giza hotel
A guided half day from your Cairo or Giza hotel, run by OceanAir Travel: two hours on the plateau with an Egyptologist, then the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Pick it if you want the classic Giza visit with a guide and still have the afternoon free.

Five to six hours, including the drive both ways. A van collects you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, and an Egyptologist spends about two hours on the plateau with you. That is long enough to understand how the pyramids were built and who they were built for. Then come 30 minutes at the Sphinx and 15 in the Valley Temple of Khafre. You are back at your hotel by mid-afternoon.
The booking works in layers. The listing includes pickup, transport, the guide and tips. The plateau tickets are included only if you book the option that has them. Lunch and a camel ride are add-ons. The listing also names entry inside the Great Pyramid, but next to tickets that depend on the option, so check what your option says before you rely on it. If you pay for entry yourself on the day, bring a card: the listing says cash is no longer accepted at the ticket desks.
The listing does not state a group size or list a shopping stop, although some guests mention stops in their comments. It is not suitable for wheelchair users. Bring comfortable shoes, sunglasses and a sun hat, and leave luggage and large bags at the hotel.
The van collects you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza. The listing warns that pickup times may shift for last-minute bookings. Long-range pickup from outer districts is an add-on.
The guide covers the history and the building of the pyramids. Since April 2025 vehicles stop at the new visitor centre and electric shuttles run between the sights.
An hour in the itinerary for a break and an optional camel ride at extra cost. Rides start from a designated riding zone.
About 73 m long and 20 m high. Its nose was removed on purpose long ago. The story about Napoleon's cannon is false.
A short walk through the temple of red granite pillars beside the Sphinx, part of Khafre's complex. Then the drive back to your hotel.
